DATA RECOVERY / SERVICE 05

Server & RAID Recovery

A RAID array failing is rarely a single-drive problem by the time you notice it — usually one disk failed silently, then a second failure took the array offline. Recovery means understanding the original configuration before touching any of the disks, and a failed hard drive diagnosis of each member disk.

01

Array analysis

We determine the original RAID level, stripe size and disk order — getting this wrong before reconstruction can make recovery much harder.

02

Individual disk imaging

Every disk in the array is imaged separately first, so the original media is never at further risk during reconstruction.

03

Virtual array reconstruction

We rebuild the array virtually from the disk images, working around any individual disk's bad sectors or faults.

04

File-structure verification

Reconstructed data is checked against the expected file system and folder structure before handover.

If a RAID array has degraded, don't run a rebuild yourself and don't replace a failed disk and let the controller resync — both are common ways a recoverable second failure becomes unrecoverable. Start a case on the contact page, or see the full data recovery services overview.
