DATA RECOVERY / SERVICE 03

SSD Recovery

SSDs fail differently to hard drives — there are no moving parts to listen for, and features like TRIM and wear-levelling mean standard recovery techniques don't apply. We work at the controller and NAND level, not just the file system.

01

Controller diagnosis

Many SSD failures are controller or firmware faults rather than damaged memory — we check this first, since it's often the more straightforward fix.

02

Firmware-level assessment

Corrupted firmware can make a healthy drive unreadable — we assess whether a firmware-level repair can restore access without touching the data itself.

03

NAND-level recovery where needed

For drives with damaged controllers or PCBs, we can read the NAND flash chips directly and reconstruct the data at a lower level.

04

Reconstruction & verification

Recovered data is reassembled and checked against expected file structures before being handed back.

SSD recovery is more time-sensitive than HDD recovery in one respect — continuing to use a failing SSD risks TRIM permanently erasing deleted data, so stop using it as soon as you notice a problem. Start a case on the contact page, or see the full data recovery services overview.
